ZAD BULSTRAD VIENNA INSURANCE GROUP has been awarded the highest recognition on the insurance market in Bulgaria, during the 10th anniversary edition of the prestigious competition organized by the VUZF University of Finance, Business and Entrepreneurship, the Association of Bulgarian Insurers, the Bulgarian Association of Supplementary Pension Security Companies, Prof. Dr. Veleslav Gavriyski Foundation and Bulgarian Association of Insurance Brokers. The “Insurer of the Year” award was presented to Nedyalko Chandarov, Chairman of the MB and CEO of ZAD BULSTRAD VIG, by Karina Karaivanova, Chair of the Financial Supervision Commission. Upon receiving the award, Mr. Chandarov expressed his gratitude for the high distinction and added: “This recognition is the result of the team efforts of my colleagues in the Management Board: Christoph Rath, Ivo Gruev, Plamen Shinov, Ivan Ivanov and Svetla Nestorova, as well as all employees of BULSTRAD.”
This year’s event was attended by numerous notable guests, among which were heads of state institutions and regulatory bodies and representatives of the academia and the businesses. Present at the official ceremony were also representatives of the European Commission, the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA), the Actuarial Association of Europe, the European Fund and Asset Management Association (EFAMA), etc.
This award asserts once again the leading position of BULSTRAD and highlights its exceptionally strong performance in 2017. In addition to the recognition of the insurance sector, in 2017 the Company also achieved the first rank on the non-Life insurance market according to premium income.
