53% of Bulgarians believe that global war is a real danger, and 62% of the population in the country supports the foreign policy of Boyko Borisov, writes Investor.bg, citing a study by Gallup International.

2.9 million adult Bulgarians out of a total of about 5.5 million permanent residents believe that there is currently a real danger of a global military conflict. A total of 34% of respondents (nearly 1.9 million people) believe it is likely (28%) or very likely (6%) that there is actual use of nuclear weapons in the upcoming few years. This shows the second part of the results of Gallup International Express Drilling on the topics in the last weeks, held on 3 and 4 April among 801 adult Bulgarians on the phone

However, the majority does not expect a nuclear conflict - a total of 63% say it is unlikely (44%) or impossible (19%), while others are hesitant. Over increasingly troublesome geopolitical context, Bulgarians seem to balance foreign policy, Gallup comments. At the same time, however, Bulgarians want a much more uncompromising internal policy.

62% of Bulgarians believe that Prime Minister Boyko Borisov is doing well with his foreign policy activities, such as the EU Council Presidency and diplomacy. 30% of the respondents are in the opposite opinion and the rest are hesitant. "Apparently, the society approves of the balanced external actions that characterize Borisov," the sociological agency said.

62% of respondents believe it should be negotiated with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and 33% consider it unnecessary.

At the same time, however, society expects more effective and firm action against the country's problems about corruption. 93% of respondents approve the recent actions of the prosecutor's office in the hospitals.

Radical positions such as those of Valery Simeonov against the advertising of gambling, for example, also meet solid support - 71%.
