AirBG.info has come up with new data on the levels of air pollution, the BNR reported.

"The most polluted day was 27 January, with exceedances over six times the norm. 331 units per cubic meter. This is a record value for all the populated areas where we have sensors, "said Petar Kirov of the AirBG.info project in" Before All " TV program and stressed that in Sofia the active sensors are over 300, which rejects the probability of any statistical error.

The project started last year. Currently there are over 600 stations collecting information about the air in the country. These stations are located in places that have been declared as significant sights such as the center of Sofia, the Baba Vida Fortress, the Old Town of Plovdiv, Veliko Tarnovo, Belogradchik, the Srebarna Nature Reserve and Musala Peak, Kirov said.

"Our stations also appeared at all automatic measuring stations in Sofia of the Executive Environment Agency, thanks to the initiative of the Minister of Environment and Waters. We monitor the air in many resorts like Velingrad, Bansko, Hissarya, Gotse Delchev and Smolyan. "
