Foreign Experts to Review Safety of Bulgaria's N-plant June

The World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO) will conduct a safety review of third and fourth units of Bulgaria's only nuclear power plant from June 2 till June 13, the N-plant announced.

Experts from the regional centers of the organization from Atlanta, Moscow, Paris and Tokio will take part in the mission, requested by the Bulgarian N-plant in December last year.
Bulgaria has asked also the European Union to make peer review of the two controversial units.

The country wants to negotiate extension of the agreed with EU closure of the units in 2006 after experts prove the safety of the reactors.
