South Korean Ambassador to Bulgaria Kim Seung-eui will present his paintings in a one-man show in Bulgaria's largest Danube city Russe. The exhibition is called "Fantasies from Bulgaria" and opened Monday night.

In his works, the ambassador shows he is enchanted by Bulgarian nature and influenced by local artists. This is the second exhibition of the diplomat in the country after Bulgarian friends encouraged him to display his art.

Three decades of diplomatic career gave Kim Seung-eui the opportunity to experience the art and the culture of different nations. In 1979, he started his artistic schooling in the Fine Arts Academy in Congo's capital Kinshasa. Since then, his frequent visits to art museums around the globe make for continuing inspiration. The ambassador's main influence is classical and contemporary European art.
