Skiing conditions in almost all Bulgarian winter resorts are good after the heavy snowfall across the country over the weekend. There is new snow in all resorts and that is why it is a good time for the enthusiastic skiers and snowboarders to get on the slopes. The mountain rescue service warns that the skiers and snow boarders should not go out of the ski runs since skiing on the high-mountain furrows and slopes is dangerous. The weather is very cold up in the mountains and there is a danger of freezing also. The skiing conditions are best in Pamporovo, Bansko and Borovetz. Only few of the Vitosha ski runs are prepared and not all ski lifts work.
