Pets: Tranquilize Cat To Travel?

Society | January 10, 2003, Friday // 00:00

Do you plan to fly with your pet this season? If your cat gets anxious or agitated by airplane travel, you might talk to your veterinarian about the use of tranquilizers for the trip. With veterinary instruction, cat owners can administer these medications themselves. Most of the tranquilizers come available in pill forms that can be easily given to your pet two hours before they're needed. They shouldn't be used in very young or very old pets, or in pets with certain medical conditions. So check with your veterinarian.
