Bulgaria: Third Permanent Lane for Trucks To Be Opened at Danube Bridge 2 BGNES

Bulgarian and Romanian border authorities have agreed to open a permanent third lane for trucks at the exit of the country at border cross checkpoint Danube Bridge 2.

In order to alleviate traffic, vehicles from countries outside the EU will be processed separately.

The agreement between the Bulgarian and Romania authorities was taken at a meeting of the border services of Bulgaria and Romania. The meeting was organised after drivers blocked the bridge for a few hours on Tuesday due to the slow processing of traffic at the border cross checkpoint.
