The architectural and historical reserve Arbanassi is a place worth visiting in Bulgaria. It is located 4 km northeast of Veliko Turnovo, one of Bulgaria's most ancient towns. From Arbanassi, you can enjoy a beautiful view of Veliko Turnovo. During the 16th-18th centuries. Arbanassi flourished as a trade and artisan center. The monumental houses and churches with their rich interior decoration, woodcarving and mural paintings date from that period. They are unique monuments. You should visit the Konstantsaliev, Hadji Iliev, Kandilarov, Nikolcho Kostov houses. If you are in Arbanassi, you shouln't miss to see the churches of the Nativity, Archangels Michael and Gabriel, St. Athanassius and St. George.
