Forks&Corks: Stewed Chicken with Vegetables

Ingredients: 1 chicken (about 1 kg), 100 ml vegetable oil, 1 onion, 2 tomatoes, 1 celery, 1 Ѕ tablespoons flour, 1 glass of white wine, 2-3 garlic cloves, 1 teaspoon paprika, black pepper, 1 bay leaf and salt to taste.
How to cook: Run salt on the outside and inside of the chicken and fry it slightly in the preheated oil, then take it out. Add to the same oil successively the sliced onion, the tomatoes and the finely chopped celery, stewing each vegetable for several minutes, stir with the flour and paprika, then pour hot water, then pour hot water or broth over this mixture. Put the chicken, the bay leaf, the back pepper into that sauce, add salt to taste and leave it to simmer for ten minutes. Then add garlic cloves and the wine. Cut the chicken, pour the strained sauce over it and serve with mashed potatoes.
