Bulgaria: Bank Deposits in Bulgaria Increase by BGN 1 B in One Quarter BGNES

Deposits in the Bulgarian banking system have increased by BGN 1 B in one quarter alone, showed BNB data.

At the end of September, deposits in banks amounted to BGN 76.2 B.

New deposits of households were over BGN 0.5 B, while deposits of businesses amounted to BGN 766 M.

BNB data also showed that the deposits of state credit institutions have recorded a decrease and so have unserviced credits.

The total amount of assets has increased by BGN 1.2 B for the quarter.

At the end of September, assets amounted to nearly BGN 90 B for the entire banking system.

At the end of the period, banks’ profits totalled over BGN 1.1 B.
