Bulgaria Socialists Name Legendary Film Actor as Deputy Chair

The Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) has elected Stefan Danailov, a cinema actor who rose to fame in iconic Bulgarian productions and some foreign titles, as a deputy to newly elected leader Korneliya Ninova.
At its Saturday congress, the Executive Bureau (the core leadership) of the party has also elected fifteen new members now joining the main BSP structure, according to Focus News Agency.
These include journalist Aleksandar Simov (who works for Duma, the party newspaper), ex-intelligence head Brigo Asparuhov, Plovdiv-based businessman (and head of the local party structure) Georgi Gergov, MEP Iliana Iotova, ex-Energy Minister Dragomir Stoynev, and several others.
