Businessmen and representatives of the government will gather on Monday to outline five steps for stable economy at this year's first national discussion from the “Yes! To Bulgarian economy” campaign.

This is the eighth consecutive national discussion organised by daily Standart and the Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria (KRIB).

Last year, the government vowed to fulfill thirty commitments, with half of them already realised, while the rest are in the process of being implemented.

The forum is being held in partnership with the four nationally represented employers' organisations - KRIB, Bulgarian Industrial Association, Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Bulgarian Industrial Capital Association (BICA).

Among the participants in the forum will be experts from Europe, mayors, representatives of the legislature, trade unions.

They will outline measures for development in five areas – growth and stability, fiscal policy, energy, investment and export.

The forum will focus on measures to retain and increase the 3 % economic growth achieved at the end of last year.

Owners and executive directors of the largest companies and representatives of the government will seek opportunity and offer policies for encouraging Bulgarian investments in the country as well as attracting foreign investments to Bulgaria.

According to figures of the economy ministry, foreign investments in Bulgaria increased by 22 % last year.

The representatives of the government will also present measures for increasing exports. The participants will also discuss the continuation of the reform in the energy sector and the road map for the liberalisation of the energy market.

The government is expected to be represented by Finance Minister Vladislav Goranov, Economy Minister Bozhidar Lukarski and Energy Minister Temenuzhka Petkova.
