MODEST INFLATION INCREASE BY END OF 2001

`I expect a modest growth` of inflation, something of the range of 4-5%, until the end of this year`, Finance Minister Milen Velchev said for private nation- wide channel bTV.
He recalled that in the first seven months of the year inflation was less than 1%. The figure next year will probably be even lower, according to him. The macroeconomic framework set as part of the preparation of the next year`s budget includes an inflation of some 2.5% in 2002.
