Stela Eneva, one of the best-known paralympic athletes of Bulgaria, has tested positive for a banned substance.
Eneva was caught usingan unnamed substance during a world championship in Doha in October, where she had won the gold medals in discus throwing and shot put competitions.
The news was first reported by the website BGathletic.com, but was later carried by national media.
Eneva is now unlikely to play in the Rio Paralympics this summer, the Bulgarian National Television has said.
She won two silver medals at the London Paralympics in 2012, one in shot put and one in discus throwing.
