After several cold weeks last month, thermometers in February are expected to hit up to 21 degrees Celsius, the Bulgarian weather service has said.
Temperatures will peak on Tuesday and Wednesday, reaching maximum values of 17-18 degrees, falling to 10 or less in the next three days.
Although snow could possibly fall in some areas and minimum temperatures between - 8 and - 13 could be observed in traditionally colder regions in some days of February, the month is expected to be warmer than usual, the National Institute for Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH) has said.
