Grigor Dimitrov Climbs to Ninth Place in ATP World Rankings
Bulgaria's top tennis player Grigor Dimitrov has risen by one position in the ATP world rankings and currently holds the ninth spot, displacing Australian player Alex de Minaur.

After a successful doubles game in Brisbane, Bulgaria's top male tennis player Grigor Dimitrov scored a tough victory against Gilles Simon (France).
This is his first win over Simon out of five times the two have faced each other.
Dimitrov thus made it into the second round of Brisbane International tournament, by defeating the French player 6:3, 7:6 (10).
His next opponent will be either Victor Troicki (Serbia) or Steve Johnson (United States).
The year 2015 was difficult for Dimitrov, who slumped to No. 28 (as of January 04), down from No. 9, in the ATP Ranking, and changed his coach.
