Bulgaria: Fight Between Migrants in Downtown Sofia Leaves One Iraqi Injured

One man was injured after a fight between two groups of Iraqi Kurds had taken place at a bar located on the Marie Louise boulevard in downtown Sofia on Wednesday evening.

The Iraqi migrant, who was admitted to hospital without risk for his life, had been stabbed with a knife, daily Sega informs.

According to witnesses, a group of three men entered the bar, attacked four of the refugees sitting inside and escaped.

There has been a heightened police presence in the area of the incident, with the perpetrators still not identified.

In September, three Syrian refugees were involved in a fight with knives, which started in front of the synagogue in downtown Sofia.

One of them was killed with a knife in front of a restaurant after being overpowered by the other two men.
