The Minister of Finance Milen Veltchev is a millionaire, his property status declaration showed. In the declaration, submitted to the Accounts Chamber, Veltchev wrote that he owns BGN 944,931 bank deposits, BGN 155,218 securities and has BGN 50,077 claims. He owes to banks BGN 357,787 in the form of mortgage credits. The Minister of Finance also owns 5 apartments, a yard and Merrill Lynch shares that are currently being sold at an investment fund.
