Bulgaria Mulls Amending Election Law after Local Vote

Bulgarian Parliament Speaker Tsetska Tsacheva has said changes to some prescriptions in Bulgaria's Election Code are "likely" after the run-off vote of local elections held Sunday.
Speaking to journalists after casting a ballot in the town of Pleven, north-central Bulgaria, Tsacheva has cited "difficulties" in registering election results after the first round as a reason.
Some of the problems are "technical" and related to organization, whereas others are likely to derive from "voting rules", the Bulgarian News Agency quotes her as saying.
Some MPs from the main ruling GERB party (of which Tsacheva is also a member) have blamed flawed organization of ballot processing in some constituencies on the current Election Code, drafted and approved under the previous elected administration that was dominated by the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP), now in opposition.
