The majority will urgently propose amendments to the privatisation and post-privatization law related to the privatisation of Bulgartabac Holding and the Bulgarian Telecommunications Company. By the end of the week, the amendments have to be adopted by Parliament. Currently, both deals are suspended. Ruling party MP Koshlukov told journalists the amendments aimed to ban possible appeal of the two deals. The parliamentary groups of ruling Simeon II National Movement and its junior coalition partner Movement for Rights and Freedoms support the privatization authorities regarding the privatisation procedure of the Bulgarian Telecommunication Company. That was announced after the meeting of the two parliamentary groups by Valeri Dimitrov, head of the economic parliamentary committee. He also said that Parliament will take a decision on the issue since it has approved the BTC strategy. Plamen Panayotov, floor leader of the party, confirmed that Parliament had to have a say on the issue since it has approved the privatisation strategy of Bulgartabac Holding and the Bulgarian Telecommunications Company.
