State-owned Bulgargaz has proposed to cut natural gas price for consumers by 14.26% in the fourth quarter of the year, a touch bigger decrease than initially planned.
The proposed price - subject to approval by Bulgaria’s energy regulator KEVR- is BGN 415.20 (EUR 207.6) per 1000 cubic metres free of VAT and excise, Bulgargaz said on its website. This is a decrease of BGN 69.06 per 1000 cubic meters compared to the third-quarter price of natural gas.
Bulgaria’s state-owned gas supplier said last month that it planned to cut gas price by 13.65% in the October-December period of 2015 due to an expected drop in the price of gas supplies.
Bulgargaz CEO Petyo Ivanov told BNR radio broadcaster earlier this week that the price of gas could be lowered further in the first quarter of next year.
