''Russia is not interested in the fired up conflict between Greece and the EU, this is against Moscow's interests'' Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said, as reported by TASS news agency.
''Contrary to some media speculations, we have no interest in putting more oil into the fire,'' he added. ''They are accusing us of sitting happily in the sidelines and rubbing ou hands together, while we are watching Greece fight against Brussels, Paris and Berlin. This is absolutely untrue. This absolutely goes against our positions and interests.''
In his words, Russia's position on the Greek crisis has been stated numerous times by President Vladimir Putin.
''We are interested in finding a mutually favorable solution for the Greek debt soon,'' the Foreign Minister added.
He noted that Russia is interested in the strong functioning and economic growth in the EU. In his words, that would not be possible in case any of the countries within the Eurozone experiences a crisis.
“Bulgaria’s economy is developing well despite the political crisis, and the country is already benefiting from the introduction of the euro.
“I am not and will not be a traitor to the party that I created.
"I sent the ministers to him, but they can't stand next to a person who has already become a party leader.
"The only path to peace is clear: Ukraine's sovereignty must be respected and its territorial integrity fully restored.
"I’ve always had a very good relationship with Vladimir Putin of Russia, but something has happened to him.
Regarding Bulgaria's eurozone accession: "We do not meet the criteria for the Eurozone, the protest will continue.
