''We know what the situation is with people in Bulgaria,'' said German Christian Democrat politician Manfred Weber. ''How can Greece expect solidarity from countries like Bulgaria while living standard in at least five countries within the EU, including in Bulgaria is lower?''
The Chairman of the European People's Party made the statement during the discussion on the financial situation of Greece held at the European Parliament Wednesday. He pointed his critique particularly at Greek PM Alexis Tsipras, accusing him of destroying all trust in the EU.
''You are wasting European trust, keeping your dignity requires honesty,'' the German conservator added. '' You are not telling your citizens the truth and this is not dignified.''
