A Bulgarian-US military training “Thracian Eagle-2” starts Monday at the Graf Ignatievo airbase and will continue until end-June.
The training is a part of Operation Atlantic Resolve of the United States Air Force aimed at guaranteeing the security of NATO allies, according to the Bulgarian National Radio.
Brigadier General Rumen Radev, Commander of the Bulgarian Air Force, will meet General Frank Gorenc, Commander of the U.S. Air Forces in Europe and in Africa, at the Graf Ignatievo airbase.
The launch of the Bulgarian-US military training is to be attended by Bulgaria’s Defense Minister Nikolay Nenchev and the Chief of Defense, Vice Admiral Rumen Nikolov.
The military training will include F-15C/D aircraft of the Florida Air National Guard and MiG-29 and Su-25 aircraft of the Bulgarian Air Force. MiG-201 aircraft is also to be included in the training.
