Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov and Ingvar Kamprad, founder and owner of IKEA, discussed the opportunities for business development at a meeting in Sofia on Friday.
Kamprad introduced to Borisov the intentions of the Swedish company to increase its turnover from Bulgaria.
In the medium-term perspective, IKEA planned to increase its orders from Bulgaria, the government's press service informs.
At the same time, the company was intending to make considerable investments in short-term credits with low interest rates for the technological renewal of its Bulgarian partner companies.
IKEA had more than 25 years of experience in Bulgaria, particularly in the order and purchase of finished goods for its stores.
The Bulgarian Prime Minister highlighted the efforts of the cabinet to encourage both foreign and internal investments.
Borisov also noted the tax policy of the government, the measures for improving the business environment and the development of the infrastructure.
