The new ambassador revealed that she was in Plovdiv last week, where she practised her Bulgarian language, which she had previously studied in London.
The diplomat had studied Balkan history and had been to the region before.
Since her arrival in Bulgaria, Mrs Hopkins has explored historical sites and has felt the hospitality of the Bulgarian people.
The new ambassador has more than twenty years of experience in the fields of rule of law, European legislation, home affairs and international law.
First, she had worked as a barrister before moving to the public sector as she wanted to work on topics, which were of importance to her, such as the fight against human trafficking.
More recently, she was involved in a campaign dedicated to ending sexual violence in war zones.
Mrs Hopkins assured that Bulgaria and the United Kingdom have a close relationship, as both countries are important partners in the EU and NATO.
In her words, the UK was a partner of Bulgaria in the areas of rule of law and the fight against terrorism.
The diplomat will support the efforts of Bulgaria in the reform of the judicial system and the fight against organised crime and corruption.
According to her, the reformed judicial system will help the business environment as Bulgaria could offer a lot to foreign investors.
Mrs Hopkins assured that she will work for increasing the trade between the two countries and supporting the British citizens visiting Bulgaria on holiday or living in the country.
Her husband Steven and her two young daughters Lara and Mia were also excited to explore the Bulgarian people, culture and traditions and were already learning the country's language.
As a British Ambassador she welcomed the opportunity for developing the relationship between the two countries.
