Dimitar Georgiev is the new chief of Bulgaria’s domestic security agency DANS.
President Rosen Plevneliev has issued a decree for the appointment of Georgiev as Chairman of the State Agency for National Security known by its Bulgarian acronym DANS, according to a press release issued by the president’s press office on Friday.
Georgiev was nominated to the post by the government earlier this week after DANS director Vladimir Pisanchev resigned.
