The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) re-opened its office in Sofia after seven years of absence. The agency first came to Sofia in 1989 and left later over fading business opportunities in the former communist country. Now, KOTRA returns to the EU and NATO future member Bulgaria - an excellent sign for business revival according to analysts. "Accession to NATO and the European Union makes this country more attractive to Korean businessmen," KOTRA President Oh Young-kyo said at the opening ceremony. The agency that, apart from trade and investment, is also involved in technical and industrial co-operation, was founded in 1962. KOTRA's newly opened office in Sofia is the ninety-ninth mission abroad.
