BIA PROPOSES CHANGES IN TAX LAWS

The Bulgarian Industrial Association suggested that reinvestment should include instalments on loan borrowed for investment, Dikran Tebeyan, Vice President of the Bulgarian Industrial Association said. The zero profit tax should also apply to self-employed persons reinvesting their profit, Yossif Avramov, Vice President of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs and Craftsmen said. The businessmen also proposed that the Government must initiate new bills to boost crediting of small and medium businesses. The Criminal Procedure Code should be amended to punish tax deceits with imprisonment. Licensed audit companies should control the companies, and the tax administration is to take control over the auditors. According to the Minister of Regional Development Kostadin Paskalev will meet Friday with the President of AMBO Corporation Ted Fergusson. In July Fergusson presented at the ministry the financial programme for the construction of the Burgas-Vljore oil pipeline.
