PRO DRINKS Promotes "Drinking Culture" in Bulgaria

The international drink salon PRO DRINKS that will take place in Sofia is not just one of the wine exhibitions that recently gained popularity in Bulgaria. This what the organizers from the Bulgarian Association of Sommeliers say about the their idea that they will see take form November 27 - 30 in the National Place of Culture. PRO DRINKS debuts with the ambition to educate those who offer the drinks to the end-customer in Bulgaria. Hoteliers and restaurateurs often lack the knowledge to "attach" the right drink to the food they serve and to assist the customer in his choice, one of the sommelier veterans in Bulgaria Spas Mandzurkov said illustrating his words with Goethe's maxim that "it is hard to make a good wine but it is even harder to drink it the right way." However, PRO DRINKS' most significant difference from the salons de vin is the fact that it displays a lot of wine but other drinks such as spirits, soft drinks, tea, coffee and even mineral water also feature there. Special seminars on consumption culture are even dedicated to some of these drinks along with the highlight on the seminar agenda - the lecture of British experts from Wine Education International. The first Competition for Best Sommelier on the Balkans will also take place within the framework of PRO Drinks.
