A 48-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman were killed in Sofia on Thursday evening, police say.
The bodies of Mitko Damyanov and his wife, Natalia Damyanova, were found in a neighborhood near the Sofia Zoo, with the man referring to police at about 20:30 EET.
Interior Ministry officials are looking into the incident. The motives are not yet known.
Mitko Damyanov, a father of two, was previously in the construction business. Media reports suggest he co-owned a construction company which in 2011 was one of two firms accused by customers of allegedly running a BGN 5 M property scam.
