Nationalists Threaten to Withdraw Support for Borisov Cabinet

The Patriotic Front (PF) might withdraw its support for the coalition government of Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, announced Valeri Simeonov, co-chairman of PF.
This step might be taken as a retaliation measure against the appointment of Orhan Ismailov to the position of Deputy Minister of Defence, explained Simeonov for the Bulgarian National Television.
Simeonov described Ismailov as a representative of the pro-Turkish party Freedom and Dignity, reminding of Ismailov's former membership to the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS), and his current affiliation with the Freedom and Dignity People's Party , one of the parties constituting the Reformist Bloc.
Simeonov assured that the Patriots were not issuing an ultimatum and the decision was taken by only one of the parties making up the PF – the National Front for the Salvation of Bulgaria (NFSB).
Simeonov added that the issue will be deliberated today between the two main parties of the PF - NFSB and the Internal Macedonian Revolutionary Organization (VMRO).
While the PF is not formally part of the coalition government, it provides support for the Borisov Cabinet through ensuring it has a stable majority in the National Assembly.
