President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed today a decree which declares the first day of last year's pro-EU protests an official holiday.

TASS reports that November 21 will be celebrated as Day of Dignity and Freedom, according to the President's press service.

The protests started after the refusal of the then Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych to sign the Association Agreement with the European Union.
