Academics Flock to Sofia for Grand Discussion

Presidents of nearly twenty European universities will gather in Bulgaria to discus funding opportunities for large education institutions. The Third Meeting of Presidents from Central Europe hosted by the Sofia University St Kliment Ohridski will start November 24. Representatives from some of the most prestigious universities in Greece, Yugoslavia, Macedonia, Germany, Turkey, Poland, Albania, Austria and the United Kingdom will take part in the event. The academic guests will also mark the specials celebration of the Sofia University on November 25 - the Day of St Kiliment Ohridski. As a parallel to the meeting of university presidents, the student councils in the Central European universities convene their second annual meeting in Sofia. The councils' representatives will mull ways to boost scientific innovation.
