The Mayor of Burgas signed an ordinance Monday to lift the state of emergency in the city after a weekend of heavy rain.
The torrential rain in the area claimed one victim on Sunday, according to reports of the Bulgarian National Television.
Pavel Marinov, District Governor of Burgas, told the Bulgarian National Radio that the evaluation of the damage was to be wrapped up by Wednesday.
The Sevlievo Municipality is still in a state of emergency.
Schools will be closed on Monday in the towns of Gabrovo, Sevlievo and Dryanovo due to the difficult situation in the area.
The snowfall, which caused trees to tear down power lines, left over 100 settlements in the Gabrovo district without electricity on Sunday.
Dozens of villages in the Lovech district were also stricken by power outages.
The Ministry of Environment and Water warned Monday that river levels would remain high, especially in Southern Bulgaria.
The rainfall and snowfall have stopped in most parts of the country and only eastern Bulgaria expects more rainfall.
