Over Half of Bulgaria's Unemployed Lack Professional Qualifications
More than half of the unemployed in Bulgaria lack professional qualifications, according to data from the Employment Agency
A total of 8,000 new jobs will be financed under an employment project as the first framework contracts with employers have already been signed, Bulgaria's National Employment Agency announced.
Some 5,000 unemployed Bulgarians are expected to be hired by the end of October 2014, money.bg reports.
BGN 30M will be allocated to employers who create jobs in the industry and the services sectors. The new jobs are targeted at unemployed who have registered at the employment offices, giving priority to long-term unemployed, young people under 29, people over 55 and Roma people.
