No lawmaker from the Reformist Bloc (RB) will back conservative GERB's proposal to form a minority government, a core member of one of its parties has said.

Petar Moskov from Democrats for Strong Bulgaria (DSP) was adamant that "with 84 MPs one cannot make a government," in an interview with private national channel NOVA TV.

A coalition between GERB, the right-wing RB and the Patriotic Front (a nationalist alliance) is the most viable option from a mathematical point of view, Moscow added.

In his words, however, the RB will support such a cabinet only if it is based on clearly set priorities.

For days now the RB has maintained it will not back a government led by GERB leader and former Prime Minister Boyko Borisov.

But an earlier statement of Bozhidar Lukarski, a leader of another party in the RB, for daily 24 chasa, the authenticity of which was back with the original recording on Tuesday, suggests this position is a "stunt".

Moskov said Lukarski's actions will not remain without consequences.

However, Movement Bulgaria for Citizens (DBG) Chair Meglena Kuneva was quoted by 24 Chasa as saying on Tuesday there was "no other GERB member" fit to be PM apart from Boyko Borisov.

"Who else do you see as Prime Minister, is there any other proposal?" she said.

GERB won Sunday?s early parliamentary elections with over 32 percent, while the RB came fourth, though official results are yet to be unveiled on October 9.

Boyko Borisov's conservatives announced Monday they would seek to from a minority government, as they did in 2009.

Borisov categorically ruled out any prospect of a coalition with the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) and the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS), but will hold talks with both parties about possible support for the minority cabinet in exchange for ministerial seats.
