Sofia police apprehended 70 unidentified individuals – reportedly illegal immigrants - at two different locations in Bulgaria's capital on Saturday, reports Nova TV.

In the first case a member of the public saw a large group of suspicious looking people getting off a bus at Sofia's North Park in the Nadezhda district. She phoned the police who apprehended a group of 30 people – 24 men and a two and four children.

At the second case police rounded up a group of 40 individuals in a house in Sofia's Vrazhdebna district, near the airport. Of them 33 were men, six women and one child.

The groups were taken to various police stations for questioning and establishing of identity. The police does not give details, as, according to Nova TV, the persons are either refusing to give information or are lying.

Reportedly the groups were taken to Sofia by human traffickers.
