Greek-Bulgarian Police Operation Uncovers Major Cannabis Smuggling Route

Two methamphetamine labs and a greenhouse for cannabis have been uncovered in an operation of Bulgaria’s State Agency for National Security (DANS) in Sofia.
During the special police operation, which was conducted on September 25-26 and was supervised and managed by the Sofia City Prosecutor’s Office, five Bulgarian nationals were arrested.
The authorities seized, among other things, 1.5kg (six packs) of a substance which tested positive in an amphetamine test, brown substance which tested positive in a heroin test, different quantities of precursors to manufacture methamphetamine, amphetamine production equipment, cannabis plants, quarts lamps, ventilators, thermometers, etc, according to reports of the BGNES news agency.
Pre-trial proceedings have been opened into the matter.
