Code yellow warning for torrential rains is issued for Friday in 9 regions in Bulgaria, said the National Institute for Meteorology and Hydrology.

The warning is for the regions of Vidin, Montana, Vratsa, Sofia-Region, Lovech, Gabrovo, Pazadzhik, Plovdiv and Stara Zagora. 

It will also rain, but less intensively, in the western and central parts of the country.

The Environment Ministry warns of rising of water levels of rivers in the affected regions and possible flash floods.
