Moscow has said it is ready to support a resolution at the UN Security Council condemning the shooting down of a Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777 downed in Ukraine last week.

The draft text to be voted Monday will also seek to ensure access to the site of the incident which has been reportedly restricted by armed militiamen, with an international OSCE team prevented to inspect it thoroughly.

It will also call on both sides (Ukraine's government and Donbass rebels) to refrain from foiling the investigation by manipulating evidence.

Another key point will be the dignified treatment of victims' bodies, as it was earlier reported that militants had taken away some of the bodies, forcing Ukrainian emergency workers to hand them without an explanation.

Non-permanent UNSC member Australia, which was among the countries having lost the biggest number of citizens in the crash that left dead all 298 on board, is currently drafting the resolution.

Reports by the Australian Financial Review suggest Russia would not veto the resolution if it does not contain parts blaming the country for the accident, or as Moscow's Ambassador to Australia put it, "as long as it does not blame somebody".

Kiev believes Moscow is behind the downing of MH17 or is at least to be partially held accountable for the plane, as it allegedly deliver the missiles used against the aircraft to the rebels shortly before the incident took place.

Ukraine's stance is supported by US intelligence officials, who claim they have "evidence" to support it.

The West has sought to put pressure on Russian President Vladimir Putin, as a number of countries believe he could use his influence to guarantee that pro-Russian separatists could cooperate to investigators.
