Finland's Outgoing PM Becomes Interim EU Commissioner

Jyrki Katainen, who has resigned as Finnish Prime Minister, is to replace EU Economic Affairs Commissioner Oli Rehn who was elected to be MEP in May.
This is an interim office for Katainen, who will stand down in October when the new Commission is to be appointed, Finnish broadcaster YLE reports.
The outgoing Prime Minister, who resigned as head of Finland's government on Monday, revealed as early as April that he would step down in June to look for an international position.
So far he has not elaborated what post he aspires to.
Meanwhile Alexander Stubb, the politician to assume his office as Prime Minister, announced Wednesday he had kicked off talks to form a coalition government.
