Bulgaria: NATO-Russia Council to Discuss Ukraine Crisis NATO-Russia meeting comes after weeks of argument among Russian and Western officials over whether the Russian troops have left Ukraine's borders. The alliance maintained they had not, basing its claims on satellite images. Photo by EPA/BGNES

Russia and NATO are to hold talks over the situation in Ukraine on Monday's joint session in Brussels.

The meeting at an ambassadorial level called by Moscow comes after the alliance froze on April 1 all cooperation within the NATO-Russia Council except political dialogue between high representatives.

It also comes three months after the latest talks over the Ukraine crisis held on March 5, which yielded no results.

Days ahead of the meeting NATO Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen announced that most of the Russian troops along the border with Ukraine had been pulled out.

The 40 000 (according to alliance estimates) soldiers have caused alarm among NATO officials and countries neighboring Ukraine since the weeks after Crimea's absorption into the Russian Federation in mid-March.

Prior to this week, Kremlin representatives have repeatedly declared the withdrawal of most troops, but no evidence has been provided.

There will be no war between Russia and NATO over the Ukraine.

They will allow both sides in the Ukraine to fight it out for as long as it takes - look at Libya, Syria, Iraq and Afganistan.

The important issues are

1. The Ukraine has to repay the Western Banks 9 billion Euros this year so the IMF is lending the money to the Ukraine to make sure they can repay the Western banks so that the Western financial system isn't hurt.

2. That Europe gets Russian Gas - they need to get this sorted for Winter.

The Ukraine is a piece of land in an American land grab, no one in the West gives a fuck about the Ukraine anyway so as long as the banks get paid and the US Taxpayer funds the IMF loans.

Crimea voted to join the Russian Federation, Russian Parliament accepted their decision, there was some Western noise and stupid sanctions but the Crimea is not news anymore.

Maybe the EU and NATO gets the Ukraine, maybe not but one thing is certain the ordinary Ukrainian people are suffering.

So peace please, split up the Ukraine and let the bits join whoever they like.

"Kremlin representatives have repeatedly declared the withdrawal of most troops, but no evidence has been provided"------ooh, this "concern" about Russian troops on Russian, not Ukrainian, territory. What about Ukrainian
troops, dear Novinite? Btw, they are exactly on the border with Russia, and even violate it. And they exterminate people on the South East, they use the barbaric weapons and methods, they destroy residential houses, hospitals, kindergarten, maternity- and mental hospitals, they kill civil population, they construct-right now-the "filtration camps".......It is WAR CRIME, it is Genocide, Novinite, but You, as well as the absolute majority of MSM, do give it the go by, You prefer the maps, maps with Russian troops on Russian territory.

Sounds like Malak-a Petko's little grey cells have already been the first casualties of this imaginary nuclear exchange.....

I forgot!!
USA backs the western Ukrainian army by air..
It is the same as NATO troop on the ground. The bases of the USA's bombers are target for Russian missiles

But you should not forget that Russia does not have so many missiles and can not produce them is time of war..,

So the best targets are USA's and British Cities. They are much larger than the Russian cities and the damage will be greater than what Russia will sustain.

If someone thinks I am crazy.. look at the world around.

The main guilt for what is happening and will happen is in the Brussels' shadow decision making.
Because Europe is their yard...

Two scenarios for the destruction of Europe!!

There are more actually but they are just variant of the two.

1. USA will sent NATO troops on the ground in Ukraine to protect Kiev.
Russians will send their regular army. At first, it will be a conventional war but very fast, it will become nuclear. (Russia has no missiles to waste for thermal charges). NATO has huge superiority in machinery and manpower but Russians will not surrender Kiev, because for them it is opening the door for destruction of Russia itself.

2. USA achieves its military objectives in Ukraine.
That means interceptor missiles and other installations to be located in the outskirts of Moscow. This will make Russia look very week and USA’s ruling elite will be tempted to push for additional actions against Russia. USA is completely dependent on its military complex and cannot resist such a temptation.

Both scenarios have the same outcome. NATO entering vital living space of the Russians and Russians confronted with overwhelming force use their most credible weapons – the nuclear missile.
There is not a slightest indication that the EU leadership can prevent this. They are blind and only follow advises of various lobbying groups. But the lobbying groups are not responsible for their actions. They simply do what they are paid for.

There must be a hope that NATO can interfere without overreaction from the side of Russia. It is very stupid hope. Practically impossible.
