Missing Woman Prompts Search in Northern Vitosha Mountain
Mountain rescuers are currently searching for a missing woman in the northern part of Vitosha, the Bulgarian Red Cross Mountain Rescue Service reported
Rescuers found the three young men who got lost in Stara Planina on Saturday night.
Hristo Ivanov, Veselin Ivanov and Victor Dimitrov, all of them 20 years old, have been found near a water power plant, some 30 km away from the point of last contact with them on Sunday morning.
According to reports in the Bulgarian-language media, all three are alive and well and are being taken to the nearby town of Kalofer on board of one of the rescue helicopters.
Around 100 mountain rescuers and volunteers, three helicopters and an army unit looked for them since Sunday morning, in what became Bulgaria's most massive and expensive search and rescue operation of this kind.
