Ukrainian National Guard killed 20 pro-Russian separatists in the port town of Mariupol, said Ukraine's Interior Minister Arsen Avakov.

One policeman was also killed.

The hospitals report of at least 25 wounded, including one freelancer of the Russia Today TV channel.

According to reports, the gun battles between the separatists and the security forces were continuing all day.

The local “self defence forces” claim the Ukrainian army opened fire on a peaceful rally in support of the police officers who barricaded themselves in the police station, while the Ukrainian forces claim “masked armed men in camouflage uniforms” stormed the police station.

According to the local media, the separatists have captured a tank and are building barricades in the streets.

According to earlier reports, the victims were eight.

US CNN news on Ukraine.

It pretends that the Kiev government is legitimate.

It does not mention the killing of unarmed civilians.

It does mention that the Kiev government is not making progress in the East and South.

What is happening is the forces of the Kiev government are driving their tanks through the towns where they can and are shooting at people then they leave. They are not able to establish a presence on the ground in the built up areas in the South and East.

So their violence is for show, for propoganda purposes, killing people to show they are effective so they can tell the Right Sector Facists in the Maidan that they are killing cockroaches.

The Ukranian National Guard is the modern equivalent of thd German SS.

They are a dangerous escalation in the violence and they will split the Ukraine by murdering unarmed people in the South and East.

If this carries on a united Ukraine will be impossible.

Ukraine: Young boy wearing St. George's ribbon shot in Slavyansk.

May 9, 2014

SOT, Ilya's uncle (in Russian): "My nephew run into me and shouted 'I was shot'. He was holding his shoulder, we called for an ambulance and he has just been delivered here. He was conscious, was talking and everything was fine."

A 12-year-old boy was shot and injured in Slavyansk, Friday. The boy, named Ilya, was walking in his yard when he was injured in his chest and shoulder. He was taken to the Lenina Hospital and is undergoing surgery.

Ilya was wearing a St. George's ribbon in honour of Victory Day.

This was warned about not so long ago, in March...

Yet experts are already beginning to question the true motives behind the formation of the new combat force in Ukraine. Historian Vladimir Skachko argues that the Guard will be used to antagonize the Russian speaking population, and he has called the creation of the special force “legalization of neo-Nazi and neo-fascist batons.”

Citing historical examples from 20th century European history, Skachko draws a parallel with the SA, or Brownshirts, a paramilitary wing of the Nazi Party, which acted as death squads.

This theory appears to hold ground, considering the coming of extreme right-associated politicians to key posts in the coup-installed Ukrainian government.

The unarmed civilians confronting the tanks are so brave.

People are in the street clearly unarmed and being shot at.

The assult by the illegal government in Kiev on these people is going unreported in Western media.

All sides need to get back to the table with both sides in Ukraine and find solutions other wise there will be a civil war.
