All 7 kidnapped observers from the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe, who were held by pro-Russian separatists in Ukraine since 25 April, were freed, Saturday.

Five Ukrainian officers taken with them were also freed, according to Russian media reports.

Russia's RIA news agency quoted Vladimir Lukin, an envoy sent by President Vladimir Putin to negotiate the release, as saying: "All 12 people who have been on my list have been released."

“It was not a deal but a voluntary humanitarian act,” Lukin told Ria Novosti.

The observers are from Germany, Sweden, Poland and Denmark.

To Hueius &Co: look, You, Ignoramicus-Extremicus, people in South-Eastern Ukraine HAVE the FULL RIGHT to be
or not to be Russians, Ukrainians or anyones else. It's up to them, but not up to You, IDIOTS, to decide. And they live on THEIR OWN land. And they have NO REASON to leave it. And all they want is to live THEIR OWN life there, but not the life which is right now obtruded upon them by the military force of the ILLEGAL "new rulers"............ Not these People, but the army, the "Right Sector" thugs and foreign mercenaries MUST stop bloodshed and LEAVE the South-East as soon as possible. DIXI.

I think Warfou has it right. I could not agree more. If people want to be Russian, let them move to Russia and leave Ukrainians to live in peace. But that is not the problem, the problem is Putin wants Ukraine for himself; see the rich gas fields just across the Ukraine border. Very simple; he will burn, bomb or kill anyway he wishes to. Read the news on his actions in Syria....

Syria and the Ukraine send armed helicopter gunships against their own people.

Both of these illegal governments are savages.

The "peaceful, unarmed protesters" in Slavyansk have just shot two Mi-24 military helicopters. The Mi-24 are heavily armoured units thus being called "the flying tanks". Following the Russian propaganda here, one needs to say that these helicopters must have been shot down by "middle age ladies with shopping bags". I just anticipate these ladies were throwing eggs and potatoes at them...or, what is more likely, someone else has done it.

The return of these people to the West shows the humanity of the pro referendum protestors in the East.

Last night on Western news I saw clips of the pro referendum protestors helping one of the Easts soldier who was shot down in a helicopter, this also shows the humanity of the Eastern protestors.

The unarmed people from Eastern Ukraine standing in front of the tanks, so brave.

Images from Western Ukraine shows the Ukranian army with Eastern Ukranian pro referendum protestors tied up and lying on the ground with hoods over their heads.

Western news from the Ukraine says that yesterday West Ukranian helicopters were firing at Slavanisk town yesterday morning, most people in the town are unarmed civilians.

The Western Ukranians are the savage terrorists in the Ukraine.
