Early elections in Bulgaria are pressing, said the country's former President Georgi Parvanov in an interview for Nova TV.

According to him, they may not necessarily happen and the government even might complete its term, but new elections were necessary, because of the weak Parliament.

“It does not work, it produces controversies and compromises the parliamentary system,” Parvanov, who recently became leader of the new left-wing party ABV, said.

In his opinion the country needed a strong government to carry out much needed reforms.
“The agony in the country is awful, I can see it during my trips,” he added.
