No Payments from Power Distributors to Bulgaria's Energy Co Yet

Economy and Energy Minister Dragomir Stoynev informed that the National Electric Company (NEK) had not received payments from the power distributors by Tuesday.
The State Commission for Energy and Water Regulation (DKEVR) set a 7-day deadline for the three power distributors operating in the country to pay debts to NEK. NEK submitted a complaint for debts of power distributors amounting to BGN 318 M.
DKEVR told investor.bg that the deadline for power distributor CEZ expired on March 27, while the deadline for the two other power distributors, Energo-Pro and EVN, was March 28.
The energy watchdog specified that the dates differed because the companies had received the stance of DKEVR on different days.
The three power distributors have not yet come up with official statements on their plans by the end of the week.
In his Wednesday statement, Stoynev assured that he was not worried by the threat of EVN to file a BGN 1 B claim against the state, adding that the matter was to be decided by court.
