Another eight polar explorers divided in two groups will join the expedition till end-December followed by the last reinforcement that is to arrive in January. The adventurers plan to carry out repairs of the Bulgaria's polar station, St Kliment Ohridski, during the first stage of the expedition. The station was built in 1978 but Bulgaria boasts intensive exploration works since it dispatched its second Antarctic expedition in 1993. Now the polar explorers will add a wastewater treatment facility to the station. Bulgaria also plans to build the first Orthodox chapel on Livingston Island. However, expedition insiders say the construction will not start this season.
